The Carry Strap is a shoulder strap that goes through the scupper holes clipping back onto itself. You put the strap over your shoulder and stand up carrying your kayak like a surfboard.

    This device works well for light to mid-range kayak weights. The heavier kayaks will make it tough to walk or put you in a perpetual lean if you're making long hikes using the carry strap but it can be done.
