Our goal is to provide unparrelled service to our customers and
with the addition of our new Kona Store it's easier than ever for our (Big Island) west side residents to have access to our large inventory. We do still include free delivery (on kayak purchases)
to our Hilo side customers but, with fuel prices going through the stratosphere, we're only able to make that run every 6 weeks or so. If you're in a rush to get a kayak and we are weeks out of our next delivery date to the HIlo side, you'll need to make the Kona run yourself. We are located right down the block from Costco so it's really easy for all our Costco customers to swing by our shop on the way in or out of the Kaloko area.
If you're off Island we do ship out via Young Brothers which is much less expensive than most people realize. Shipping an average size kayak will usually run between $30 and $40.
Give us a call and we'll let you know the price, freight included,
to Young Bros on your island.
For out of State customers, you'll probably need to purchase your kayaks closer to your home town but we do ship many of our accessories all around the U.S. For So Cal Residents we do have a stock of Feel Free models warehoused in San Juan Capistrano.
On accessories, we can often arrange inexpensive shipping. Send us an email with the products you're interested in,
your State and zip code and we'll get back to you with a quick quote
which might pleasantly surprise you.
We do accept Mastercard and Visa and if you're purchasing accessories
only, a $100 minimum purchase will get your gear sent out priority
mail (within Hawaii State) and we'll take care of the shipping charges.
If you're on the Big Island and would like to try the gear
out before making a purchase, we do offer rentals on just about every model that we sell. You're welcome to rent any kayak and apply that, single day, rental expense (if you're able to make you're purchase within 2 weeks or the rental) toward the purchase of a new kayak. Note: not every model is available for rent at the Kona Store. If you're wanting to rent a specific model make a reservation ahead of time so that model can be made available for you
E-mail
kelly@plentypupule.com or call us
at 808 880-1400 (Hawaii Time Zone 3 hours earlier than the west coast )
Our business hours at our new Kona Store are:
8AM-5PM Tues-Sat, 9-1 on Sunday and closed Monday
Located just above Home Depot (next door to Snorkel Bobs)
Kamanu St (in Hale Kui Plaza)
You can also call after hours and we may extend those hours
a bit for good friends or kayak gear in dire need of an owner. We
are the only kayak dealer on the Big Island that is able to get you warehouse direct deals
at the best prices possible.
We don't often get ticked off unless people call late at night so
if you're calling from the mainland or somewhere more remote (like
hawaii is the center of the universe!) please take into account
that we're 2-3 hours earlier than west coast time.
As you might expect we do get out on the water on occasion so if
you're calling after hours and we don't answer the phone immediately, please leave a message and
we'll get back to you as soon as the waves go down, the weather
gets bad or we have to come in for food :)
Or if the swell keeps pumping, just come down to Hapuna point (pictured at the top) before
first light. I'll be the only one out....
