Feel Free choose to name the kayak "Moken" to honor the Moken people,
whose nomadic sea fishing culture helped them survive the 2004 tsunami.
The Moken is a new 13' Angler kayak
designed to outperform all the other fishing or diving kayaks currently
on the market. It was designed with input from top fishermen and scuba
experts in New Zealand.
It's 31" wide, weighs 64 lbs
and has a carrying capacity of up to 440 lbs. It's hull width provides
very good stability, especially when casting. It has significant
innovative design benefits like the covered bow tankwell, flip up
center console and four molded in carry handles.
The Moken comes standard with rudder. 2 rod holders ,
full thermoformed backrest, two additional cockpit hatches, rear
tankwell with additional room andheavy duty straps for a fishing crate,
bait bucket or additional rear mounted dive tank.
Load
in cooler and snorkel gear, fishing rods. Pop a scuba tank in the
covered front tankwell or use it as a fish storage area. The thought
that most comes to mind with this kayak is versatility, versatility,
versatility..
-
Molded in bow well with cover.
Finally a place to store fish that can be easily washed out. Also
perfectly designed to fit in most scuba tanks.
- Hull width provides very good stability, streamlined bow for speed
- Flip-up center console for lures and gear
- Thermoformed seat pad and adjustable backrest comes standard
- Separate tackle box/battery storage area with hinged cover
- Comes standard with two rod holders
- Center mounting plate for fish finder/GPS and aftermarket rod holders

Molded-in carry handles front and
rear and molded in side carry handles (first of their kind) which had
all the other kayak manufacturers drooling and wondering how Feel Free
accomplished that trick within the roto-molding limitations.
-
Kick-up rudder with steering footrests – the rudder is great for steering, and tracking in adverse wind and currents.
