The 2012 Nomad now in stock has a molded in wheel in the rear for easy transport. It'is almost 10' in length, 30" wide and weighs only 44 lbs yet it has a substantial carrying capacity of up to 330 lbs. It does have other significant innovative design benefits like flush mounted deck hardware, recessed scupper holes and molded in carry handles. It comes standard with two hatches and a backrest.

    The Nomad has a unique chine and aft-to-bow rocker profile that works excellent for carving turns in the surf.

     The top middle photo is Kelly testing the Nomads Surf capabilities on one the biggest days of the year in South Kohala, HI. He was chastised by a surfer that figured he shouln't be out there in a kayak. The same surfer wasn't so arrogant an hour later when his leash snapped and he was swimming out instead of braving the surf going in. Kelly was able to provide some rescue/assistance by hauling him in on the stern of the Nomad.

     And the Nomad tested very well that day for handling larger surf as well as making rescues.... It's also fun on the bay or for medium distance paddles.

     As an option it can be fitted with a skeg to enhance it's already good tracking ability. Another option is a Storage Pod with molded in dual Rod Holders and plenty of dry storage. It can clip right into the tankwell behind the seat.
