The Mirage Outback is the S.U.V. of the Pedal powered Kayak series. Like the other Mirage models, it can be pedalled, paddled or both for the full body workout! It comes standard with the Patented Mirage Drive, The Twist and Stow Rudder System, High back seat with lumbar support and fanny pack, a quality two piece fibergass paddle with paddle clips, two 8" storage hatches, a large front hatch, rear on deck cargo area, mast step, molded in cup holders, four molded in rod holders, gear bucket, water bottle and scupper holes compatible with the optional "plug in" kayak cart or "Livewell" It's just over 12' long, 34" wide and weighs 62lbs not counting the Mirage Drive. This design is great for Fishing, Diving or any type of activity where you want stability and good carryiing capability. It does carry up to 400 lbs so most people will still be able to land their 100lb fish and still cruise the kayak in (by pedal, sail or paddling) without feeling severely overloaded! And new for 2012 is locking seat plugs to keep the seat firmly in place. The 2012 models are also now coming with Mirage alignment pins combined with slots molded into the drivewell to make the drive installation a breeze compared to the earlier Mirage models.
